Summary
Among the mandibular fractures that generate the greatest destruction are those related to high-energy impacts and gunshot wounds, resulting in very complex fractures, with great loss of substance. For all of the above, we consider that these fractures are a therapeutic challenge. The objective of this text is to describe step by step how to create an external fixation system using an alternative brace, as an initial measure for this type of fractures.
