Bilateral Eagle’s Syndrome, a Case Report

Summary

The Eagle's syndrome is characterized by the elongation of the styloid process and/or their ligaments calcification, which come embryologically from Reichert's cartilage or second branchial arch. This produces pain in the craniocervical region and limitation of cervical movements. Generally is confused with other dysfunctions, such as temporomandibular joint dysfunction. The diagnosis of this entity is by the correct clinical and radiographic exam. In this work is done reporting a case and makes a brief review of the literature, showing the importance of this entity correct diagnosis and their symptoms.
