Summary
Learning is a process through which new knowledge, abilities, skills, behaviors or values are acquired through direct experience, study, observation, reasoning or instruction. The development of these processes can be influenced by various factors, whether internal or external factors. The objective of the project was to evaluate the predominant learning style of postgraduate students in the dental area. Methods: 12 postgraduate students in the dental area participated in this study, who were evaluated with the “learning styles (CHAEA)” test, which determines the predominant learning profile of the person, which can be: Active, theoretical, reflective or pragmatic. It is estimated that the predominant learning style is the “theoretical” (mean = 16.08), followed by the reflective (mean = 16), pragmatic (mean = 15.83) and active (mean = 12.08) styles respectively. The population evaluated during the course was homogeneous, since it does not favor one learning style over another, but has a predisposition for the reflective and theoretical style.
